BNP Paribas Real Estate has set up a new planning and development team within its commercial business in Scotland.
The company has promoted Tara Cowley to oversee the new set-up. Cowley led Strutt & Parker’s planning team in Scotland for almost four years and has specialised in the rural sector.
In her new role, she will lead a team offering planning and development advice across the commercial, industrial, logistics, healthcare, hotel and leisure, and residential sectors. She will work alongside senior planner Jay Skinner.
The team will form part of BNP PRE and Strutt & Parker’s national planning and development divisions, led by Caroline McDade and Simon Kibblewhite respectively.
Gary Cameron, the company’s head of Scotland, said: “With shifting requirements for full service strategic consultancy from the pre-planning phase through to delivery, and for the repositioning and repurposing of assets across Scotland, we are strengthening our offer with this expert team from our Strutt & Parker business. They take on this new mandate at a pivotal time as we expand the Edinburgh business and bolster our offer to clients.”
