BNP Paribas Real Estate has hired Jonty Rawcliffe from Strutt & Parker as ESG and sustainability lead for property management in the UK.
The firm is strengthening its pan-European service offering after launching its sustainability framework earlier this year. The framework helps organisations to achieve multiple sustainability goals at once and can be applied at asset or portfolio level.
Rawcliffe will work closely with Christophe Girard, European head of sustainability for property management, to help clients optimise building performance, with a focus on cost control and value.
He takes on his new role after almost four years with Strutt & Parker, where he was head of natural capital in England, with a specific oversight of biodiversity net gain projects.
Donna Rourke, head of ESG and sustainability at BNP PRE, said: “Jonty’s experience co-ordinating different service lines to achieve strategic objectives and establish avenues to add value and maximise returns means he is perfectly positioned to advise clients to achieve their ESG goals in the most efficient and cost-effective way.”
