BNP PRE creates top role in occupier strategy boost

BNP Paribas Real Estate has appointed Elaine Murphy to the newly created role of head of occupier strategy.

Murphy has been a director in the firm’s occupier solutions division for almost 25 years.

In her new role, Murphy will partner with BNP PRE’s senior client base to advise on the delivery of their long-term goals, bringing in expertise across the department and wider business to ensure the rollout of both live and potential projects and services.

She will be based in BNP PRE’s Marylebone campus in London and will work with Tom Bolland, head of occupier solutions, to develop new business strategies. She will also work with relationship managers at BNP Paribas bank to unlock further cross-selling opportunities across the entities.

Bolland said: “Producing a well-articulated property strategy can identify previously unconsidered options, highlight areas of neglect and an action to improve the performance of portfolios.

“Elaine has a clear vision of where our growth opportunities lie and the experience and relationships to assist me in bolstering our positioning in the market. She has played a role in forming connections at senior levels of our client base, and so it was a natural progression to create this role to make her the link between themselves and our team.”

Murphy’s promotion comes shortly after BNP PRE’s valuation team in Scotland doubled, with Tony Lockwood being appointed as director in its development team.
