Cordea Savills has appointed John Claxon as a director of investment to lead the investment manager’s expansion of its UK segregated mandate business.
Claxon, who joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management, will report to George Tindley, executive director and head of investment, UK.
He has 25 years’ experience managing and advising real estate portfolios, including his stint at BNP PRE Investment Management, where he was head of the UK investment management business.
George Tindley, executive director at Cordea Savills, said: “Building on the success of our existing mandates, as well as the Charities Property Fund and the UK Income and Growth Fund, we are targeting segregated funds and segregated mandate business, where we believe there is a shortage of managers with strong track records and proven asset management skills.”
Claxon commented: “This is at a time when many investors want to maintain ownership and ultimate control of their real estate assets, but outsource and delegate the management of their portfolios to professional managers who are property experts and capable of developing and implementing a strategy to produce good performance.”
