Cash and carry chain Booker has signed up for a 3,902 sq m (42,000 sq ft) unit at Coltham Developments’ Saltley Gate business park in Birmingham at £57 per sq m (£5.25 per sq ft) for a 25-year lease. The retailer will be the first tenant on the 1.4ha (3.5 acre) park.
According to King Sturge’s Carl Durrant, which advised Coltham, the developer is speculatively constructing an 18,000 sq ft unit following the Booker prelet on the basis of an asking rent of £5.50 per sq ft.
