Food service giant Booker is in negotiations on two warehouses to service its new five-year £400m contract to supply the armed forces.
In-house acquisitions surveyor Guy Parkes confirmed that the company is considering a 6,967 sq m (75,000 sq ft) building in the M3/M4 area and a 3,251 sq m (35,000 sq ft) unit south of Glasgow.
“There is plenty of available stock,” he said. “We have been very pro-active in the market.” On specifications, he said the buildings should have cold stores, or be capable of having one fitted.
