Booking.com in at Skanska’s Monument

SK_The_Monument_Building_Skanska has secured its third letting at the Monument building, EC3, a new office-led development that completed this month.

Booking.com, which is part of the Nasdaq-listed Priceline Group, has taken the entire 9,678 sq ft seventh floor on a 10-year lease.

The online accommodation booking company will join TwentyFour Asset Management and UnderwriteMe, which have taken the eighth and ninth floors respectively.

The 94,000 sq ft tower designed by Ken Shuttleworth’s Make features four terraces, a large reception area, cycle storage and shower facilities.

Work started on the 10-storey building in December 2013, after which three separate buildings (11-15 Monument Street, 46 Fish Street Hill and 1-2 Pudding Lane) were demolished and replaced with 90,000 sq ft of office space and 4,000 sq ft of ground-floor shops.

One of the two retail units, on Fish Street Hill, has been let to Olive & Squash for its new salad bar concept.

Savills represented Skanska; CBRE advised Booking.com.
