Boots buys into £30m Coventry retail development

Boots Properties has taken a stake in Central Six, the £30m fashion park planned for a site off Warwick Road in Coventry.

Boots has purchased the 5.2 ha (13 acre) plot from Deeley, while subsidiary GW Deeley has signed a £6m contract with Boots to develop the park. The scheme will include 12,207 sq m (131,400 sq ft) of non-food retailing and two restaurants totalling 557 sq m (6,000 sq ft).

Central Six is being targeted at fashion and high street retailers. Boots the Chemist has already confirmed that it will be taking a 1,692 sq m (18,212 sq ft) unit. The development is expected to be trading by Christmas.

Hartnell Taylor Cook and Marriott Hardcastle are the letting agents.
