Mayor of London Boris Johnson has approved AXA Investment Management – Real Assets and Lipton Rogers’ plans for a 62-storey skyscraper at 22 Bishopsgate, EC2.
The plans for the site – which replace a previous scheme called the Pinnacle – were approved by the City of London Corporation last month and the mayoral sign off means the scheme can now get under way next year.
Johnson said: “After lying abandoned for four years, 22 Bishopsgate will now get off the ground, providing much needed office space for thousands of city workers and a positive addition to the world-class architecture of the capital’s skyline.”
