Bank of Scotland (BoS) is uniting its business banking operations under a single brand – a move that will include rationalising outlets in England and Wales.
The move ends the separate identities of the Capital Bank, British Linen Bank and Bank of Wales.
Meanwhile, Abbey National is preparing a hostile bid for BoS.
