Bouwfonds buy four UK car parks

 

Dutch property group Bouwfonds Asset Management has bought four UK car parks for €80m (£59.7m) for its Bouwfonds European Real Estate Parking Fund.

 

The acqusition includes three car parks in Croydon and London, taking the total fund value to €135m (£100m), including 12 parking facilities located in France, Spain and the UK.

 

Other purchases in the pipeline include a car park in Belgium.

 

The fund invests in parking facilities in city centres across European cities, and it has been specifically structured for international institutional investors.

 

The fund is based in Luxembourg and has a target value of €300m (£223.7m). The equity capital has been provided by institutional investors from the Netherlands and Germany.
