Bouygues has been selected as preferred developer for the former ambulance station in Bristol, a project with an estimated gross development value of more than £30m.
The 2.7-acre site was bought from the South Western Ambulance Service by the Homes and Communities Agency in March last year. The mixed-use scheme will be resi led and has the potential for 200 homes.
Bristol council is currently in talks with developers over four other sites in the city, including a development opportunity on Arena Island, next to the site of the new 12,000-capacity Bristol Arena performance venue, which is due for completion in 2017.
The five sites have the potential to deliver a total of 1,000 homes.
