Bovis ‘back in game’ as it predicts record year

Bovis said it was confident that it would deliver a record set of profits this year as it tries to move on from a troubling period in which hundreds of customers complained of badly made homes and unfinished properties.

The FTSE 250 housebuilder said that pre-tax profits rose by 41% to £60.2m in the six months to the end of June, up from £42.7m a year earlier. It said that profits for the full year would be at the top end of management’s expectations and the highest on record.

The Kent-based developer focuses on building homes in regional areas of England and Wales and has no sites within the M25.
