P&O’s Bovis Homes is buying most of the assets of Britannia Group’s housebuilding division in a £10m deal, part of its expansion in the south-west. The division, which will keep net assets of around £600,000, made a pre-tax loss of £230,000 in 1995. It blamed the thin margins available on its land stock.
