Bovis Homes plans to build a new village of about 2,200 homes, a shopping centre and two business parks in Filton, Bristol.
It exchanged contracts to buy 60.71ha (150 acres) from BAE Systems. Construction should start early next year.
Questor in The Daily Telegraph comments that even if Bovis continues to report record profits, the much-touted re-rating is unlikely to emerge. It says “time to cash in a little profit”.
