Housebuilder Bovis Homes has announced it is to scrap its interim dividend in 2009 amid challenging trading conditions.
It said it would use the money to take advantage of cheaper residential land by buying sites.
Bovis has cut its stock of unsold homes from 1,000 at the year’s start to 450.
