Bovis Homes has announced annual pretax profits up 21% to £45m on turnover down 6% to £234.3m.
The housebuilder is keen to expand in the north and south-west of England and the Midlands.
Malcom Harris, chief executive, said he would be interested in acquiring a regional housebuilder.
