BP Pension Fund has bought the second phase of Hams Hall National Distribution Park at Jctn 9 of the M42 from PowerGen for £12m.
The park, one of the few in the UK with a Eurofreight terminal, can accommodate up to 83,610 sq m (900,000 sq ft) of B2 and B8 space. BP has simultaneously entered into an agreement with Kingspark Developments, which has already built three units at Hams Hall. Kingspark will undertake all further construction on the park.
There is already 64,500 sq m (700,000 sq ft) of distribution warehousing at Hams Hall with Trade Team, Hayes, Ponsenby and Power Europe already established there. In addition, BMW/Rover has started on site with the construction of their new engine development and construction plant.
DTZ Debenham Thorpe and Colliers Erdman Lewis acted for BP, while Holley Blake advised Kingspark.
