BP takes Bedfont Lakes space

BP has exchanged contracts with Scottish Widows for 68,000 sq ft at New Square, Bedfont Lakes, near Heathrow, for its new headquarters.

The oil giant will make buildings one, five and seven on the 250-acre business park its new headquarters. It is the largest leasing transaction to be completed in the M4 corridor in the year to date.

It has signed a 10-year lease with a five-year break option, at £25 per sq ft.

BP was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle. JLL and Strutt & Parker acted as joint agents for Scottish Widows Investment Partnerships.

Jeremy Rodale, a partner in Strutt & Parker’s national office agency team, said: “The park has achieved full occupancy, with a number of high-profile international occupiers. This is testament to its extensive and far reaching appeal.”
