This year’s judging panel comprised Student Cribs chief executive Charlie Vaughan Lee, the Crown Estate chief executive Alison Nimmo, Eastdil Secured senior adviser Ian Marcus, and EG reporter Louisa Clarence-Smith.

At the ceremony, the BPF also launched its statement of principles on diversity and inclusion, which commits the BPF to using its unique position and influence to help create a more diverse and inclusive property industry:

The BPF believes that as the voice of the property industry, we have a role to play in fostering an environment that promotes a culture of equality and inclusion and that attracts the broadest range of talent from all parts of society.

We will use our voice to influence change, and to support our members in sharing best practice across our sector.

We will lend our voice to those currently under-represented to achieve greater diversity and inclusion within the industry.

BPF chief executive Melanie Leech said: “Our winners’ success is evidence of how young professionals in our industry are making an outstanding contribution to people’s everyday lives across the UK, and we hope the awards serve to inspire others to reach their full potential.

“It is fitting that the BPF is also today launching its statement of principles on diversity and inclusion. To thrive as an industry we need to attract and retain the broadest range of talent – celebrating the achievements of young people in the industry, from all walks of life and backgrounds, is an important part of ensuring that we are forward-thinking and inclusive. As the voice of the real estate industry, the BPF is committed to playing its part in this critical issue for our industry.”
