Brake Bros’ has shortlisted two sites in the West Midlands for a 11,148 sq m (120,000 sq ft) national distribution centre.
The frozen food supplier is looking to acquire the freehold on an 8.5ha (21 acre) site on which to develop a multi-temperature food centre. It also wants the option of doubling the size of the centre as business expands.
So far Brake Bros – represented by its Ashford-based agents Colyer Commercial – has considered Ravensbank at Redditch; Coventry Business Park; Hams Hall; Highway Point in Coleshill; and British Steel’s Bromford Gate Park in Erdington near Tamworth.
David Swindale of Colyer Commercial admitted that he is now in negotiations on two sites but refused to name which ones. However he did rule out speculation by local agents that Hams Hall was the preferred option.
