Brandon Lewis MP has been confirmed as the new planning minister as part of a wide-ranging Cabinet reshuffle.
He will replace Nick Boles, who has been appointed minister of state for the business and education department.
Lewis, who a parliamentary under-secretary of state at the department for communities and local government, will now have responsibility for housing and planning.
