Brave Corporation, the real estate company set up by Bold founder Caleb Parker, is partnering with AI start-up Pont to elevate its “office in a pocket” offer.
Parker, who founded co-working business Bold in 2016, announced in October that he was repositioning through the launch of Brave Corporation to “bridge the gap between office supply and demand to mitigate the rise of stranded assets”.
Today the group announced that it is partnering with Pont, an AI-driven co-working start-up. Brave has made a strategic investment in the tech company, in which it will now hold a minority stake, as part of a partnership that will drive the launch of a Brave app set to launch in January.
The app will bring together a network of Brave-endorsed spaces. The aim is to kick off with 100 locations listed on the app at the start of 2024 with plans to scale up to 400 by 2025.
Parker said that as company leases expire and HQ spaces “start to shrink”, Brave’s app will provide a tool for people to come together for face-to-face meetings and ad-hoc workspaces.
Parker said Pont’s AI-powered “customer experience layer” will allow customers to search in detail for the exact space they want and will start to build a database of spaces based on search criteria and requirements.
“The value in AI isn’t today but a couple of years down the line,” said Parker. “This is about going from product to service and from static to dynamic. The more we can learn about our customers and how they use space so we can better serve them, the better. In two years from now an AI-driven space platform will be way better than it is now because it will have two years of data incorporated.”
Pont’s co-founders Manuel Conti and Simon Dowdell were formerly at workspace provider IWG as chief technology officer and principal architect respectively.
Brave Corporation’s endorsed network will include brands across the UK, EU, North America and Australia, such as Iconic Offices, iQ Offices, Hub Australia, Clockwise and Bold.
