Brent Council is expected to approve three major residential schemes this week, providing some 3,348 homes for the borough.
The council’s planning officers have recommended the committee give consent to St George’s revised Grand Union masterplan (pictured), ZEDHomes’s Alperton scheme at the Abbey Manufacturing Estate and Ziser London’s Stoll Square.
Berkeley’s St George is seeking planning permission for some 2,426 in the latter phases of its Grand Union scheme. New plans for phase 3 and 4b to 7 will see an increase of 230 homes across the masterplan, bringing the total to 3,350 homes.
In Alperton, ZEDHomes has also revised plans for the Abbey Manufacturing Estate. The £262m scheme has been boosted to provide 684, up from initial proposals of 581 homes, with 35% affordable housing.
ZEDHomes is a subsidiary of private housebuilder Michael Shwartz Group. The scheme is the zero-energy developer’s largest to date.
Ziser London is also anticipating a boost for its £115m build-to-rent scheme at Stoll Square. Plans would see 238 flats to replace the 34,000 sq ft Matalan at Cricklewood Broadway.
