Waterside Places has secured planning consent for a further 452 homes at Brentford Lock West, TW8.
Hounslow Council has approved plans for 452 homes in seven buildings of between five and 10 storeys, up from initial proposals of 213 homes. It includes 187 affordable homes, 6,500 sq ft of flexible commercial space and 3,400 sq ft of community leisure space.
This brings the total number of homes at the development to 759. Phase one included 150 homes, which are now fully occupied, and phase two added a further 157, which are partly constructed and partly occupied.
The scheme proposes 50% affordable housing by habitable room.
Waterside Places is a joint venture between the Canal & River Trust and Muse Developments, previously called ISIS Waterside Regeneration. The jv submitted its original outline planning application in 2010, seeking to deliver 520 homes on the 15.8-acre site, which superseded a failed application in 2007.
