Wealth management firm Brewin Dolphin has instructed agents to find a new circa 80,000 sq ft London headquarters.
The FTSE 250 company, which is currently based at 12 Smithfield Street, EC1, has appointed JLL to find it a new base for occupation in 2019.
It is understood the search is focused on the Farringdon and Midtown areas. The relocation would represent an expansion of its existing London take-up, which totals just under 70,000 sq ft.
Brewin, which has 29 offices around the country, announced plans in November to expand its wealth management advice services. It also intends to open a small private office-style arm in the West End.
A spokesman said: “We are looking at our current office requirements in London, but there’s nothing currently to confirm.”
The move follows recent office relocations by rival wealth management firm.
In 2017, Rathbone Brothers almost doubled its take-up when it moved from 1 Curzon Street, W1, to occupy 75,000 sq ft at 8 Finsbury Circus, EC2.
GAM Holding also completed a deal in November to set up a new London headquarters at Mitsubishi Estate’s 8 Finsbury Circus, consolidating three offices in St James’s.
