Brickworks resi site for sale

Ten-Acres-Lane-THUMBKPMG is selling a 47-acre residential development site with planning consent for 500 homes in Newton Heath, north west Manchester.

The brownfield site on Ten Acres Lane was previously occupied by Jackson Brickworks.

KMPG is acting as administrator of Lexi Holdings – which was owned by Shaid Luqman and collapsed in 2006 owing Barclays more than £100m.

Manchester city council granted planning permission last year for up to 500 homes across 36 acres and 37,700 sq ft of employment space.

It is now being sold by KPMG’s Brian Green and Richard Fleming, who are acting as joint administrators to holding company Ten Acre Limited.

The site is close to the Etihad Stadium and Sportscity, and has direct rail links from the nearby Central Park station.

The development will include nine acres of open space and new vehicle and pedestrian access from surrounding roads.

Property consultant Eddisons has been chosen to market the site.
