Who were the highest paid chief executives in the property business last year? EG charts their ups – and downs
The last financial year saw a reshuffle of the top paid property bosses and a hike in average remuneration from £1.9m to £2.6m.
British Land’s Chris Grigg jumped from fourth place in 2012 to top the 2013 table with a £4.9m package. He swapped places with GPE’s Toby Courtauld, who led last year with £4.5m. In second place is CapCo’s Ian Hawksworth, who benefitted from a share scheme coming to fruition for the second year in a row, although last year it was awarded after this table was compiled. LandSec’s Rob Noel slipped from second to sixth, while Intu’s David Fischel dropped from sixth place to tenth.
