Demand for UK real estate portfolios is growing: transactions were at their highest level for eight years in 2014, figures from Deloitte Real Estate have shown
Last year was one of the best on record for portfolio transactions, with £13.3bn traded in 145 deals, according to Deloitte Real Estate – a 47% increase on 2013.
Portfolio sales alone accounted for 20% of total real estate investment volumes during the year. UK non-performing loan portfolios made up an extra £20.3bn in 17 transactions – around double the value of deals done in 2013.
Of those portfolios traded, 36% were single‑let, 57% multilet and 7% combined.
