Birmingham reshuffle

Lambert Smith Hampton’s Birmingham office agency head has quit after 18 months in the job. Philippa Pickavance will join Drivers Jonas to launch an office agency department in the city. Meanwhile, LSH has promoted Terry Corns to Birmingham chief executive, replacing Craig Bales who quit last October to join budget retailer Poundland as property director. Corns has been with LSH for 15 years.

Asif Aziz’s Golfrate is about to submit a planning application to reconfigure the 95,000 sq ft St Nicholas Centre in Sutton, Surrey. Golfrate, which paid GE Capital £78m for the shopping centre in November, wants to replace some 1,500 sq ft units with 3,000 sq ft stores to attract fashion retailers. It is also considering buying adjoining land to extend the centre, which is managed by Hammond Phillips.
