Brighthouse is targeting 30 more openings this year, with the focus on London and the South East where it is underexposed.
The expansion will take the rental and hire-purchase retailer to 228 shops. The company has tried to fill in its geographical gaps. It has historically had a lack of stores in the South East, partly because of high retail rents.
It is rolling out new stores in Orpington, Harlow, Bromley and Maidstone. It also hopes to open in Croydon soon. The company sees potential for 650 UK mainland outlets.
