Bristol Council is tipped to take St James’s House, the Royal Bank of Scotland’s office scheme on Wilder Street. The property has been vacant since its completion four years ago.
The council has a requirement for up to 5,574 sq m (60,000 sq ft) in the city centre and is understood to be taking the entire 3,065 sq m (33,000 sq ft) building for former Avon Council staff.
The tenant is believed to be paying around £86.11 per sq m (£8 per sq ft) including incentives, against a quoting rent of £129.17 per sq m (£12 per sq ft).
Grimley and Alder King are the letting agents while the council is unrepresented.
