Bristol jv plans five-acre mixed-use development

Bristol-based developer PG Enterprises and housing and regeneration group Places for People have joined forces for a mixed-use development in the St Paul’s area of the city.

The partnership plans to transform five acres into a mixture of homes, retail and offices along with community facilities and a hotel.

Onedovelane, on Dove Lane and Newfoundland Road, will include open spaces and will become a gateway to the £500m Broadmead retail scheme.

Places for People’s head of strategic land acquisition Tom Tippetts said: “This represents a golden opportunity to continue redeveloping the central area of Bristol and create a viable and sustainable neighbourhood with a mix of homes and jobs for local people.

“Working in partnership with the council and local residents, we want to redevelop Dove Lane in a way that links into the wider community and helps contribute to the ongoing regeneration of the city centre.”

The project is being coordinated by RPS of Aztec West.

The partnership hopes to submit a planning application in December.
