Bristol resi scheme get OK

Redcliffe-Quarter-Bristol-phase-1-570Plans for a mixed-use development in a derelict area of Redcliffe in central Bristol have been unanimously passed by Bristol city council.

The plans will include 128 homes and three retail units at 25 Redcliff Street, 14 and 14a St Thomas Street.

This first phase is part of Change Real Estate’s £180m, 500,000 sq ft development of the Redcliffe Quarter.

The project is being brought forward as a joint venture between Change Real Estate, Cannon Family Office and ICG Longbow.

Work clearing the site will start in summer with construction planned to commence in the autumn.

Plans for the second phase will be will be submitted early 2016.

Ron Persaud, director of Change Real Estate, said: “This is great news. We are now able to progress with phase one of our vision for Redcliffe Quarter, which will create a vibrant and exciting community in the heart of this historic and much-loved area of Bristol.”
