A pub that has claimed the title of Britain’s wonkiest after the destruction of the Crooked House, has failed to sell at auction.
The 200-year-old, Grade II listed Tilted Barrel in Tipton, West Yorkshire, was put up for sale through auctioneer Cottons with a guide price of £180,000. It failed to reach its reserve of £178,000.
The pub is just a 15-minute drive from the site of the Crooked House, which was demolished in August after a suspected arson attack.
