British Coal has sold its 293.41ha (725 acre) leisure park at Trentham Gardens near Stoke-on-Trent, in north Staffordshire.
Trentham Leisure paid £2.5m for the leisure complex which includes a nine-hole golf course, water and jet-ski facilities, clay-pigeon shooting, as well as banqueting and conference areas.
The management team which has run the site for the last three years is expecting to unveil further development plans for the site within the next 18 months.
