British Land has ended rent support for retail tenants as shopping returns to pre-pandemic levels.
The FTSE100 landlord said: “With trading restrictions substantially lifted and the vast majority of our customers trading well and paying the rent due, we do not expect to make further concessions this quarter.”
Retail tenants have paid 71% of the £43m owed to British Land for the present quarter. Sales across its retail portfolio are now at 94% of pre-pandemic levels.
