British Land has secured planning permission from the Camden Council to redevelop Euston Tower into 560,000 sq ft of office space and public realm at its Regent’s Place campus in London’s Knowledge Quarter.
The consented plans will see much of the existing 36-storey, 1960s tower at 286 Euston Road demolished, with the new development retaining of 31% of the existing structure.
The new 31-storey tower will comprise 19,000 sq ft floor plates, a total 560,000 sq ft workspace, 4,000 sq ft of restaurant and café space, public realm, as well as 8,000 sq ft of enterprise space for local entrepreneurs and start-ups.
David Lockyer, head of development at British Land, said: “This world-class building will provide the space for the UK’s greatest minds to turn research into real-world solutions.
“The tower is ideally located at our Regent’s Place campus, where the Knowledge Quarter meets the West End, and where businesses can benefit from the great concentration of academic and research institutions between Harley Street and King’s Cross.”
Elsewhere on the campus, British Land recently struck a deal with generative AI media firm Synthesia for 20,000 sq ft of space at 20 Triton Street.
Alongside Royal London Asset Management, it is also delivering more than 300,000 sq ft office and lab space at 1 Triton Square.
