British Land has named chief operating officer David Walker as its next chief financial officer.
Walker will step up to the post from 20 November, when Bhavesh Mistry leaves to become CFO at Kingfisher.
Walker has been COO since 2021. He was previously head of investor relations and served as interim CFO from November 2020 to July 2021. He joined the REIT in 2017.
British Land chief executive Simon Carter said Walker “has delivered significant value and efficiencies as our chief operating officer and is ideally placed to bring his experience to again lead our expert finance team as we capitalise on the strong momentum in the business”.
