British Land has sealed a pair of office lettings to two technology companies, its head of leasing arguing for the “fundamental” benefits of a vibrant workplace after the coronavirus pandemic.
Vorboss, a provider of fibre networks that already counts British Land as a customer, will make Broadwalk House in the City of London Broadgate campus its new headquarters, taking 17,000 of space on a lease until 2025. The building is also home to challenger bank Monzo, which made it its HQ in 2019.
Anaplan, a Californian cloud-based software company, is taking 13,000 sq ft at 338 Euston Road, part of British Land’s Regent’s Place development, for its new London office.
Mike Wiseman, head of leasing at British Land, said: “While Covid-19 has shown that people can work more flexibly, innovative businesses like Vorboss and Anaplan recognise that well located, high quality workspace which encourages collaboration, supports learning and fosters culture will be fundamental to their success as they start to look beyond the pandemic.”
Timothy Creswick, chief executive of Vorboss, said the Broadgate office gives the company “an environment that continues to encourage cross-team communication and provides the best working experience to all our employees”.
Melinda Wetzel, head of real estate and workplace at Anaplan, said the Regent’s Place office will allow the US company to continue growing its London team and “reimagine the way we work together”.
