Boxing club 12×3 has opened at British Land’s Paddington Central campus.
Founded by former professional boxer Darren Barker and prize-winning amateur boxer Ryan Pickard, the traditional boxing gym has agreed a 15-year lease for the 4,450 sq ft space at 19 Sheldon Square.
It is the second location for 12×3, with its first gym located in Aldgate, and it is the latest addition to the retail and leisure offering at Paddington Central, which British Land is aiming to expand.
Tim Haddon, head of campus for Paddington Central at British Land, said: “Across our portfolio, we have seen increased demand from customers for services and amenities which can be enjoyed before, during, and after work, as well as at the weekends. 12×3 is a unique addition to the campus that we know will complement the great work we are doing to improve Paddington Central for workers, visitors and the local community.”
Since acquiring Paddington Central in 2013, British Land has invested £100m into transforming the public realm at the campus, as well as the construction of the latest office building, 4 Kingdom Street.
