Three new food and drink brands have taken more than 4,100 sq ft of space at British Land’s Paddington Central campus.
Vagabond, which will be the first wine bar at the campus, is to take 3,000 sq ft along the Grand Union Canal and healthy food chain Pure is to occupy 1,100 sq ft at 2 Kingdom Street, joining Department of Coffee, Coco Di Mama and Lords of Poké in the building.
Independent seafood restaurant London Shell Co is also to increase its presence at Paddington Central, taking on a second barge called the Grand Duchess located next door to its current cruising restaurant on the Prince Regent barge.
The Grand Duchess will be static and provide all-day food, as well as offering a bar and outside area.
All three leases are thought to be for more than 10 years.
Since acquiring Paddington Central in 2013, British Land has invested nearly £100m into transforming the area, adding 10 new retailers in the past 18 months.
Tim Haddon, head of Paddington Central at British Land, said: “Our investment into Paddington continues to attract exciting new brands, further enhancing the neighbourhood’s vibrancy for the local community, customers and visitors to enjoy. London Shell Co’s expansion and Vagabond’s arrival will provide further enlivenment along the canal and boost the neighbourhood’s seven-days-a-week offering.”
