Britons work more hours from home than almost every other nationality, an international survey has found.
Employees here spend an average of 1.5 days a week working remotely, compared with an international average of 0.9, found the study by German think-tank the IFO Centre for Macroeconomics and Surveys.
Only Canadians spend less time in the office, working 1.7 days a week from home.
The research, which surveyed 42,400 full-time employees in 34 countries, found that those in France spent less than half as many hours at home as Britons, at only 0.6 days a week. Those in Italy are at home only 0.7 days a week while in Spain the number is 0.9.
US workers spend 1.4 days a week at home, while in Australia the figure is 1.3.
