Broadway Malyan is to draw up a masterplan for the regeneration of three housing estates in Islington, North London.
The architect was chosen by housing association NBH and tenants of the Andover, Six Acres and Clifton & Haden Court Estates, represented by the Links Tenants’ & Residents’ Association.
The masterplan for the estates, which comprise 1,579 homes, is likely to include substantial demolition as well as the construction of houses which will be sold to help fund the programme.
Tenants will decide in the autumn whether they support the masterplan when they vote on whether the housing stock should be transferred from the council to NBH.
