Brockton Capital and Landid have won planning permission for a redevelopment of Coca-Cola’s former Uxbridge HQ in west London.
The London borough of Hillingdon has approved plans to increase Charter Place by 75,000 sq ft to 230,000 sq ft.
The pair bought the building in late 2013 for around £25m from Ignis Asset Management.
Charter Place was home to Coca-Cola Enterprises for 20 years until April 2012.
Trevor Silver, chief executive of Landid, said: “Planning permission has unlocked the potential of this significant office building. It’s a vote of confidence in the vibrancy of the Thames Valley/M4 corridor and in the type of premises we’re developing. It will be a premier corporate location.”
Tony Edgley, partner at Brockton Capital, added: “Our goal, with Landid is to redevelop a redundant building into first-choice, contemporary, sustainable, connected and flexible office space. Charter Place will be a shining example of what we want to achieve.”
Work is expected to start on site in the autumn.
