Brockton Capital has struck a major office prelet at its Mailbox mixed-use scheme in Birmingham.
Advanced Computer Software Group has taken the whole of the 45,000 sq ft office element of the recently revamped scheme, at an undisclosed rent.
The Mailbox will become Advanced’s Midlands’ headquarters.
The office space is midway through being reconfigured and fully refit to grade-A standard. Work is set to be completed by early 2016. The office will feature a dedicated reception and is the largest single office floorplate in the city.
Brockton partner Simon Samuels said: “This letting is a perfect example of the quality and calibre of occupier we felt would be attracted to the Mailbox.”
Advanced plans to grow its business, bringing 400 jobs into Birmingham.
Gordon Wildon, CEO, at Advanced, said: “The sheer size of this space gives us the ability to bring together a number of our functions under one roof.”
The Mailbox has recently undergone a £50m refurbishment and remodelling, with a new Harvey Nichols store opening at the scheme in September, alongside an Everyman cinema and new Urban Room housing upmarket retailers such as Calvin Klein and L K Bennett.
Joint letting agents are CBRE and GBR Phoenix Beard. JLL advised Advanced.
