Brockton Capital is to merge with London-based developer Grantham Associates.
The business will retain the Brockton Capital name with Grantham founder and owner Richard Selby becoming a partner in Brockton. Grantham’s seven-strong team will join Brockton’s 22 professionals in its offices on Wardour Street, W1, where it will take on an extra floor.
David Marks, co-managing partner of Brockton, which has £650m of equity under management, said he had worked with Grantham for over a decade. “Merging with the Grantham team brings essential specialist skills needed in the property business under one roof, which will help deliver better returns for investors in the Brockton Capital Funds,” he added.
Brockton-Grantham Development will take on responsibility for managing and delivering the assets within the Brockton Capital Funds that have large planning, refurbishment and redevelopment aspects. Grantham is already a co-investor and part of the delivery team on five of those assets.
“At a time when Greater London continues to need a larger and better-designed supply of residential, office and mixed-use space in all parts of the market, we are looking forward to becoming part of the Brockton team that will help deliver returns across a wide range of assets,” said Selby.
