Bromley council has demanded £5m from ZhongRong Group for a six-month extension of its exclusivity agreement regarding the redevelopment of Crystal Palace.
The council also demanded that the group submit its plans for the project in the next 14 days.
The developer’s exclusivity period, which was granted by Boris Johnson, expired at the end of January without any progress being made on the scheme.
This extension would provide the company with an extra half year free from competition from Westfield, which showed interest in the project when it was announced in 2013.
