Brompton Road restaurant Sandrini sold to French newcomer

Famous Brompton Road restaurant Sandrini has been sold to a newcomer to the London restaurant market.

Tragara Restaurant Co, which is backed by Lebanese investors, will transform the formerly family-owned venue in SW3 from a traditional Italian to a new French restaurant.

Tragara paid more than £700,000 for the business, including a 25-year lease of the two-floor, 3,300 sq ft (307 sq m) unit.

“The fact that the rental can only be reviewed to 75% of the open market value helps to sustain an ongoing premium for the site,” said Davis Coffer Lyons director David Abramson, who acted for Tragara. Emma Davis of Berkeley Simmons Davis acted for Sandrini.
