Brookfield Asset Management, the global alternative asset manager, has appointed ex-RREEF managing director David Brush as a managing partner.
Based in London, Brush will lead European real estate investing activities for the Brookfield Property Group, reporting to Barry Blattman and Ric Clark.
Brush will play a key role in leading Brookfield Property Group’s investment activities in Europe, including identifying and securing investments and positioning Brookfield to take advantage of opportunities in the region.
“David’s experience, reputation and knowledge of the European investment landscape will help to lead the growth of our business in Europe during this important time of global recapitalisation,” said Barry Blattman, senior managing partner of Brookfield.
Brush spent 18 years with RREEF, the real estate investment division of Deutsche Bank, where he founded and built a highly successful global opportunistic investment program, and most recently served as chairman of RREEF’s global opportunistic real estate business.
Prior to this, Brush worked for Bankers Trust’s real estate investment banking group, which he joined in 1987.
Brush will work closely with the Brookfield Asset Management and Brookfield Office Properties senior management teams, including London-based James Tuckey and Martin Jepson to maximize opportunities across the Brookfield brands.
